Sustainability

Sustainability is a natural translation of the ASSA ABLOY Group’s 4 cornerstones: vision, realism, courage and ethics.

These cornerstones have been central to the Group’s development. The environment, business ethics and social responsibility are critical issues to address in a society which we are an integrated part of.

Our unconditional aim is to make sustainability a central part of our business philosophy and culture, but even more importantly is the job of integrating sustainability into our business strategy.

Environment

Respect for the environment is fundamental to assuring a sustainable future.

While Mul-T-Lock is not considered a business of ‘high impact’ to the environment, we recognise that our day-to-day activities do have some impact on the environment, both in positive and negative ways. We aim to minimise harmful effects whenever we can and will work to secure business benefit from environmental protection through a continuous improvement programme.
We continuously seek ways to improve our work environment and to reduce risks that can cause accidents and pollution.
Wherever possible, our offices recycle paper and printer toner cartridges
We continuously develop strategies to reduce consumption of resources, prevent pollution and improve the overall environmental impact from our operations and our products along the value-chain.
We require management personnel to be responsible for implementing and upholding this policy through awareness, training, measurement and reporting
We encourage and foster openness and communication of our policy with our stakeholders
We apply our policy in all business transactions and expect our employees, partners and suppliers to apply them as well. We will strive to implement certifiable environmental management systems in all areas.

Our environmental policy and procedures draw from legal requirements, and relevant international standards and guidelines, i.e. ISO 14001.

Community

Mul-T-Lock works with communities to contribute to social and environmental needs – either directly through the work that we do and provide as an employer, or through our relationships with local societies and clubs. We encourage our employees to engage in the community.

Mul-T-Lock is proud to sponsor the Kettering Football Club.

Employees
We strongly believe in making our business a rewarding place to work and in behaving ethically towards all our internal and external customers and employees.
